I didn't know this was an ongoing issue...I thought the church outgrew the numbers game.

    Why is this funny?

I think some folks get caught up in "what is megachurch XYZ doing to reach people?" So they go to their conferences, trade business cards with their staff, when often the answer to their church growth woes is right under their nose. No city, neighborhood, church is the same as the next. I think more energy could be put into talking to your congregation (the people who interact with the folks you are trying to reach every day) to discover your next outreach venture may be. After all, it's all trial and error.

I think the answer is right INSIDE their nose, up behind it a little in the grey matter.
