I heard about this via the ChurchMarketingSucks blog. That is kinda funny - but also kinda harsh. I wish there were a venue for us to discuss this issue!!!!!!!!!!!! in the open, with everyone involved, like civilized people.

Let's hold a special conference/meeting - like the council at Jerusalem, and live stream it via Mogulus.com!

My stepfather just died on Feb. 11th. He and my mother attend(ed) a megachurch in CA. The Pastoral care and support from the church was outstanding. The response of the church and the people could not have been better and in fact may well have been impossible in a smaller church. By the way I pastor a small church so am not a megachurch cheerleader - the above is simply a real time observation.

Is the size of the church the issue? Shouldn't the issue be whether or not the Holy Spirit working there?

If the Holy Spirit is working in a mega-church, who are we to oppose God?

It seems like complaining about the color of the pews. Is that what Christianity is about? Is it about the size of your church? Small, medium, large, would you like to super size it? If God is there, isn't that enough?

Just wondering, do you think www.theonion.com is for real news or a break from real news?

Sometimes we just have to laugh at ourselves.
